< BACK TO DNC PROTEST ART

Candidate Ralph Nader, received little serious mention in the corporate press while running for president in the year 2000. Nader was not only excluded from the so-called "debates" but he was actually physically barred from entering the buildings where they were held.

Super rallies for Nader held across the U.S. drew the largest crowds for any of the candidates running for President, and people had to pay to attend those rallies! Green Party activists constructed this beautiful puppet of Mr. Nader and they paraded it up and down in front of the Staples Center when Gore made his appearance before the Convention.
