I drew this pen & ink drawing of a typical scene along the world famous Hollywood Boulevard in the summer of 1980. The stree has always been a hangout for extroverts and thrill seekers, and in this artwork I drew an old resident waiting for a bus along with a young punk. The two posters evident on the walls were actually plastered all over Los Angeles at the time. One, an announcement for a May 4th concert by the U.K punk band, Public Image, and the second a poster calling for a militant worker's demonstration on May 1st, International Workers Day.
