BACK
TO PUNK FLYERS
Fellow
artist Gary Panter was also very much involved in
the early punk scene of Los Angeles. His bizarre graphic
style graced a number of punk flyers and the example shown
at left became Panter's most famous image. The drawing was
designed especially for the Techno-punk band, the SCREAMERS,
who were one of the most innovative bands in LA punk history.
The
band used Synthesizers instead of guitars and their highly
theatrical and emotive performances made them a cult favorite.
