This wonderful pen & ink sketch pretty much sums up how punks viewed their position vis-à-vis mainstream society. To be punk meant to stand outside the norm, and the more extreme one's rejection of the status quo the better... but such an attitude came with a price. Here the young rebel experiences a moment of terror when being caught in a policeman's spotlight. The viewer identifies with the girl and is forced to contemplate her fate.
