"I'll never forget seeing the Bags perform in 1977 at the Masque (the first punk club in Los Angeles). Lead singer Alice (far left), and bass player Patricia, had a mesmerizing stage persona and I immediately wanted to paint their likeness. The two posed for me in 1979, the result being this double portrait."
